/History

It was in 1962 that Plínio Croce and Roberto Aflalo teamed up with architect Gian Carlo Gasperini to participate in the biggest international competition at the time, organized by the UIA (International Association of Architects). The challenge: a daring project for the construction of the largest office tower in South America, which would be built in Buenos Aires.

Winners of this competition, the young architects, who were just over 30 years old, bet on the creation of a modern, professional office focused on the technological aspects of architecture, which was always within a clear and honest language and aimed at the best solutions for your customers. More than 50 years later, this bet is proving to be more successful every day.

From the 80s onwards, a second generation formed by the firm itself, which included Luiz Felipe Aflalo Herman and Roberto Aflalo Filho, gradually took over the management of the firm alongside Gasperini, the only one of the founders currently alive. At the same time, Gasperini also served for decades as a professor of Composition at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo.

This period coincided with the strong growth of the country's economy and the city of São Paulo, enabling a scale of architectural projects hitherto non-existent in Brazil.

The commitment to up-to-date architectural and technological issues has ensured that the office has placed itself in this growth scenario, without ever giving up the principles that guided the company's origin.
