With the adoption of BIM technology, project development becomes a 3D function and favors creating more refined architectonic solutions as well as bringing an easier understanding of the project by all involved, being as it is the “virtual construction” of the architectonic undertaking. The model contains all the necessary parameterized information for issuing the execution documents (Executive Projects and Detailing). If used fully, including the involvement of technical teams (structure, installations, air-conditioning, among others) it effectively demonstrates project compatibility activities through the analyses and detections of geometric restrictions in 3D. Full application of the BIM process in project development allows for the possibility of extracting quantative data from the construction components, planning and visualization of the execution phases plus the management of daily building operations and upkeep.

Sustainability and its basic principles, such as water reuse, power saving, specification of eco-friendly materials and equipment, is combined to the quality of the spaces generated, due to either the thermal, sound, light or visual comfort, fully contributing to the longevity of the building, to the quality of life of its user and the city.
Our portfolio includes more than twenty projects with LEED and AQUA sustainability certification. The Eldorado Business Tower was a pioneer among large buildings in Brazil, certified in 2009 with the top category, Leed Platinum. More recently, in 2015, the Parque da Cidade project received the Leed ND (Neighborhood Development) certification, the first in the State of Sao Paulo, which integrates the principles of planned, smart growth, sustainable urbanism and green buildings, through different types of building and the combined use of urban spaces, bringing a positive impact on its surroundings.
Using techniques that range from handicraft to a laser cutter
At our office, we have a model department that develops physical tridimensional models of our projects, in order to assist us in the creative process, volume research and architectural language, facilitating the understanding of both the team and the customer.
The designs of the model parts are extracted from the project’s 3D virtual model, using techniques that range from handicraft to a laser cutter, with a variety of tools and materials that include polystyrene, wood and acrylic, manufacturing the correct representation of the scale and details of each building.
Based on the team’s experience, this quality system (QS) was implanted in the year 2000
aflalo/gasperini possesses a quality system certified by ISO Standard 9001/2008.
Based on the team’s experience, this quality system (QS) was implanted in the year 2000 with the aim of obtaining the ISO 9001 certification which was in fact granted that same year. Since then the quality system undergoes periodical revisions as a result of changes in its processes and tools, always aiming at continued project improvement. The QS is made up of procedures, instructions and records at the disposal of the entire team and used in the planning, critical analyses and internal validations throughout all stages of the project.
